12 Worthy Games in Humble Choice September 2020
Just like in last month’s Humble Choice, the Humble Choice September 2020 one also has a vampire game! And I’m super happy about getting it, because I was really thinking of purchasing it soon.
See?
Good things happen to those that wait.
There are also a few other games that I’ve been eye-balling, and then of course the ones that I already have. But that’s what happens when you have almost 1,000 games in your Steam library.
There are bound to be repeats in bundles like these that make you regret spending all that cash.
Humble Choice September 2020 Games
Golf with your Friends
It’s better than golfing by yourself, isn’t it? Plus, some of these courses put those fun Putt-Putt courses to shame. Which is the only kind of golf I’ve ever played with my family and friends.
Generation Zero
Staying alive is the name of the game, because you’ll need to find out information on the machine invaders and the disappearance of the population of humans. It’s not all about obtaining information though. You’ll kind of need to figure out how best to take the machines down and reclaim the land!
If there’s really anything to reclaim at this point.
Forager
Forager is an open world game that caters to those that enjoy Stardew Valley and Terrarria. It’s not all about farming, but a variety of things.
Collect resources out in the world, craft things, build your own land with the buildings you want, level up with skills and abilities, find cool secrets and explore dungeons! Which of course can hold some heavy duty enemies and boss battles, I presume.
It might be 2D and lacking extreme graphics, but it’s charming and fun.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Coteries of New York
I’ve been looking at this game since Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines started to be a huge deal in the vampire-loving community. And I’ve come super close to purchasing it on Steam on multiple occasions, but thankfully I’ve held off.
Now I get to enjoy the game through the Humble Choice bundle.
Fun with Ragdolls: the Game
This game is for you to have all the fun you want without any quests to deal with or any objectives other than living your life as a ragdoll.
So do what a ragdoll does best and build a world you’d love to flop around in.
Lethal League Blaze
The screenshots don’t do the game justice. The description is a little odd too.
I think you’re needing to hit the opponent with the ball, not just striking the ball itself. And things get very fast-paced as the ball continuously gets hit by the players. What’s even more nifty is you can use a variety of abilities and unlock characters and outfits to match your style.
There’s singleplayer, online, and local co-op, depending on if you have friends or not.
Strange Brigade
I’ve got this game already, but I haven’t played it. I was interested in playing it because I thought it would be like a Tomb Raider type of game, but I don’t think that’s the case, so I put it off.
There are undead hordes to deal with, booby traps of all sorts, tons of weaponry and magic to use in your survival against them, and of course you get to solve puzzles and traverse ruins.
So I guess in a way it is kind of like Tomb Raider.
Evoland
I’ve got this game, and I have to say I completely enjoyed playing it.
I didn’t know what I was getting into, so when I learned that it takes you throughout the years of video games, I was pleasantly surprised. I suppose I only wish the game was longer.
Yooka-Laylee: The Impossible Lair
There’s a Yooka-Laylee game in my Steam library, but I’m not sure if it’s this one or the first one. I have a feeling it’s the latter, but anyway, it’s not a game I’ve had the honor of playing yet, though it does remind me of the types of games I’ve played from my youth.
Catherine Classic
This game looks amazingly bizarre, and it seems to be a choices matter game, since if you make the wrong one, you die.
I assume the death is from a jealous girlfriend, as you’re torn between two women–one you know, and one you don’t.
The Shapeshifting Detective
I’ve only ever played one FMV game so far, but they’re actually pretty cool.
Even better with this game is you have the ability to shapeshift into people and eavesdropping on conversations not for your ears. Definitely piques the interest of my inner supernatural fan.
The Occupation
If you enjoy detective games and being timed on the actions you need done, then you might enjoy The Occupation. I love detective games to a certain extent. That extent is not where time is a crucial part in my exploration.
Still, games like this hold intrigue, and offer replayability.
