23 Unicorn Themed Party Ideas Worthy of a Mythical Horse

If there’s ever a popular theme for a party of any kind–be it for kids or adults, mind you–, it’d have to be for the unicorn, and that’s exactly what this unicorn themed party ideas post is for.

I don’t care if you or someone else says they’re throwing it for their kid, because in reality, I bet a part of themselves is selfishly throwing it for their own desires as well. Who doesn’t love a freaking unicorn after all? They’re rare, majestic creatures that can spear you with the horn on their head if they see fit.

Plus, Charlie the Unicorn.

The party ideas mentioned below don’t rely on any kind of age, though some might be a bit more specific than others. I tried to keep it all a bit on the open side of things. In case, you know, the party is for an adult and not a kid at all.

Unicorn Themed Party Invitations

A Magical Day

I find the black background more appealing than the white background invites, though they work just as well with the color schemes. The art of the unicorn frolicking on the rainbow is adorable on this one, though I might’ve went for other icons floating in the background than diamonds and stars (unless that’s what your kid likes).

Keep in mind this product is a digital file.

Cute Unicorn Face

I love the color palette they chose, as it pops out against the background as just screams unicorn colors, along with the gold foil for the actual parts of the unicorn, eyelashes included. Though there is a backside, just so it isn’t plain, everything is right there on the front for you to see.

Sweet Unicorn

This is about as simple as it can get when it comes to an invitation, yet it’s still nice to look at with its pink color scheme and gets the point across. You also have the option of choosing between postcard, petite, or classic invitations as well.

Unicorn Themed Party Treats

Unicorn Cake Pop

I like the idea of these cake pops because you can choose between three–an ice cream cone, (which happens to be my favorite choice), and upside down cake pop, or a regular right side up one for you normal folks with normal unicorn party-goers.

Unicorn Cakesicles

Does your kid love popsicles, but purchasing a popsicle and expecting it to not melt is a bit too wishful thinking? Well these cakesicles might be just the thing for them. They are absolutely gorgeous and well made and…well, I’d hate to eat them, honestly.

Unicorn Poop Cupcakes

I mean, with every unicorn cupcake, there’s going to be the exit party, right? Why not make it known? I’m sure it’s still good eating!

Unicorn Truffle Cake Pops

These truffle cake pops are so sweet and innocent looking. Love the golden horn going up the stick and the soft colors of the flowers serving as the crown along the head of the unicorns themselves. Definitely professional looking.

Unicorn Themed Cake Toppers

“Happy Birthday” Rainbow Unicorn

This is one of those straight to the point cake toppers that tells the person “happy birthday!” with an elegant looking unicorn standing in the background. All the colors pop for its simplicity.

Cute 2-Pack Unicorn Cake Topper

These two unicorns are so fat and adorable, just sitting there enjoying themselves, never minding the fact that you’ve probably just shoved a stick up their pooper to get them to stay in place on the cake.

Life’s magical no matter what when you’re a unicorn.

Handmade Unicorn Cake Topper

I know, these product titles are getting insane.

These cake toppers are nice though because you can choose from a variety of different colors, in case you need a certain one to either match the cake, or maybe the person’s favorite color, if it’s available.

Unicorn Themed Cupcake Wrappers & Toppers

Cartoony Unicorn Wrappers & Toppers

These toppers have a cute animation kind of style to them, as well as glitter horns. The wrappers themselves are a bit uncreative with the gradient color looks, which don’t really give much homage to the unicorn. But there’s also the unicorn’s blushing face.

Double-Sided Unicorn Wrappers & Toppers

I like double-sided wrappers, because you’ve got some color after you dig in and eat the actual cupcake, so nothing about the wrappers are bland. These unicorn wrappers have pizazz! Plus, even the toppers look they’ve so much more vibrant than some of the others with all that glitters is gold.

Gender Reveal

If this is a planned unicorn themed baby shower, then you might want to consider these gender reveal toppers–or even if you’re throwing the party for a boy, because a lot of these toppers focus on the female gender.

Glittery Unicorn Treat Topper

If you want just cupcake toppers that don’t only have the top portion of the unicorn or just the horn, then here’s you a majestic glitter horse that hopefully match a color of the cupcake you or someone else has made.

Unicorn Themed Party Decorations

Happy Birthday Banner

I liked this banner of all the other (limited) ones that I saw because it’s an actual unicorn that’s being stretched out and, well, it fit in a bit better than just words ever could. It’s as if it’s flying away, just like Lady Rainicorn on Adventure Time.

Happy Birthday Yard Sign

How are people going to know it’s someone’s birthday if you’re not going to announce it via a sign in your yard? So go ahead and put the sign out and maybe the birthday boy/girl will get random gifts from those around the neighborhood who were never invited in the first place.

Paper Lanterns

These are absolutely adorable as a table centerpiece decoration. The only thing I know about paper lanterns are how, I believe, they’re usually lit and set out on the water for restless souls? Or the anime shows I’ve watched where they release them into the air.

I might be thinking of something completely different.

In any case, a lovely addition to the unicorn setting.

Unicorn Balloons

What kind of party do you think you can throw without any kind of balloons floating around? Who doesn’t love punching balloons at one another when they get too close to our faces?

All right, don’t do that with these, unicorns have horns.

Plates, Napkins, and Table Cover Set

I was originally going to list these individually, but then I didn’t think there was any point in it when there were actual sets you can purchase of the same imagery and colorations. No point in mixing and matching. I mean, when is someone going to buy napkins for a party but forego the plates.

Heathens, that’s who.

Unicorn Themed Party Games

Pin the Horn on the Unicorn

It’s always fun to see where people actually manage to pin something on a poster when it’s supposed to go in a specific area. They try to remember the image after the blindfold is on, but then they forget they’re being twirled like a ballerina too to make it fair game.

At least, that’s how it usually is.

Unicorn Bean Bag Toss

A fun challenge for kids to try to toss a bean bag into one of the holes of the banner, especially those of a competitive nature if you make specific holes worth more points and give the winner something special in the end.

Hopefully the winner is the person the whole party is being thrown for.

Unicorn Pinata

I really wanted a full-body unicorn to beat the crap out of on here, but a lot of them in the reviews stated they were too small. Not only that, but a lot of them just didn’t look that great in the first place. So here’s a majestic face your party-goers can beat the crap out of for some possible treats inside.

Unicorn Ring Toss

I was actually looking for a ring toss that’s used on the ground, but apparently this one is a headband and you can throw the rings onto the horn while it’s on the person’s head. I can see how that can be fun, as they have to also try to get the rings on their horn.

But man, I’ve never liked things being thrown at me, no matter how light they are. My fun child days are over, I guess.
