8 Alice in Wonderland Caterpillar 3D Models Worthy of A Very Good Height Indeed

0

I noticed people were searching for some Alice in Wonderland caterpillar 3D models and so I wanted to create a listing for some of the best I’ve seen.

Now, not all of these are 3D printed, but hey, I still consider them as 3D models. There were maybe a couple others that were high on my list as well, but they fit into other categories that will hopefully have a spotlight in another listing.

And just in case you didn’t know…the caterpillar’s got a name.

Absolem.

Yeah, technically he never got a name until his appearance in Tim Burton’s 2010 movie, but even though I watched the film, I guess his name never stuck for me and even I knew him as just “the caterpillar from Alice in Wonderland.” So for those like me, he’ll always be the caterpillar, I guess.

3D Resin Model

There seems to be a lot of love for this character model of Absolem because you can choose either a hollowed base model or a solid base model of a variety of colors. Plus, one of the reviewers thought of a clever idea of putting lights within one of the hollow products so it’ll be all lit up at night!

Articulating Caterpillar

This guy can be placed almost anywhere you want him to chill out at, and you can even choose the color you want the caterpillar to be, despite him being the caterpillar from Alice in Wonderland.

Personally, I love the rainbow colors, how they might shift a bit when you move him.

He might not be the cutest thing in the movies, but his body and little shoes are adorable here.

Caterpillar Blowing Smoke Figurine

This figurine is a fun one. You’ve got Absolem sitting on his usual mushroom seat with his hookah and he’s blowing smoke rings.

And not just up his ass either!

Caterpillar’s Butterfly Ornament

Instead of his caterpillar form, he’s transformed into an official butterfly! Perhaps not a beautiful butterfly like Heimlich from A Bug’s Life, but we can’t all have that kind of flair, can we?

Though the green coming out of his butt doesn’t help the situation.

I think it’s supposed to imply the magical green trail of the transformation? The effect is a bit lost though.

Caterpillar Exclusive Funko Pop!

The first thing you’ll notice with the caterpillar is his “Why-are-you-talking-to-me?” face. I mean, he was never a really happy character, despite smoking his hookah, which is missing on this Funko Pop! figurine.

You took it didn’t you?

Yeah…that’s why he’s making that face at you.

Mini Diorama

You can tell this has the looks of an old piece of work, but still just as timeless as the original Alice the Wonderland itself. In fact, this little diorama adds Alice into the picture with the caterpillar.

What’s unique is the caterpillar actually has oversized humanoid hands instead of his usual little arms and hands that fits his size.

Plus, it almost seems like he’s wearing the caterpillar skin as a jacket, when you look at his arms.

Miniature Absolem With Hookah

It just never seems like Absolem when he doesn’t have his hookah with him, and here he’s adorably realistic in his miniature stature.

The makings of the 3D figure are a bit rough but that doesn’t detract from the product, I don’t think. It’s just a reminder that someone did hand-make this just for someone like you.

Realistic Absolem With Hookah

This model is amazingly well done and doesn’t just focus on a 3D print–mainly because it’s made with polymer clay–but the creator has taken the time to cover the body with a kind of wool to make him more furry and a little less naked.

Not that he ever seemed to mind.
