Gifts for Beekeepers Worthy of the Buzz Around the Hive

Gifts for Beekeepers Worthy of the Buzz Around the Hive

My idea of dealing with any kind of bee is to keep a respectful distance of no-longer-in-my-field-of-vision, and that’s the case with many others, but then there are those that brave the buzzfeed, which brings us to this gifts for beekeepers guide.

Some of these gifts are handy dandy while others are, of course, on the goofier side of the spectrum. Whether they need something in the field of honeycombs or they need something to laugh about, we’re guaranteed to have it in this gift guide.

And if we don’t have it just pretend it was never worthy in the first place, no matter what those five-star reviews say.

They’re probably false reviews anyway, when the bees put too much pressure on the beekeepers of the world, what with their stinging threats and all.

Gifts for Beekeepers Under $10

PerfectBee Academy

This course starts at $9.99 a month, but there’s also an annual purchase.

Honestly, it’s a good gift for beekeepers that are either wanting to learn more about beekeeping, due to not being too well-seasoned in the job of it, or if they’re wanting more knowledge, in case they can get information they never knew about before.

Plus, it’s always good to get a refresher on everything, even if just to try out for a month.

The Bee Guy T-Shirt

Despite there being a Mama Beekeeper shirt in this list, I didn’t like the idea of looking for a Daddy Beekeeper, so I chose the next best shirt for the guys. You’re all officially The Bee Guy.

Bee House

Just because bees live in a beehive doesn’t mean it should look like every other beehive, right? Give them a home to grow up in. Make it nice looking.

Maybe that’s why they sting people. Their home doesn’t feel home-y.

Bee Keeper Coasters

Placing a glass on a wood surface is a no-no as my mom would always say,

Well, she wouldn’t say it quite like that. She’d say something about staining the wood. So if you’re a beekeeper or know of one, why not give them some coasters that represent their passion?

Beehive Candle Holder

It’s a super nice candle holder gift for beekeepers given the design, though I kind of wonder where you’d hang it inside the house. Maybe in an exterior part of the house? Indoor patio?

Not that they’d need to hang it somewhere. It can always be placed on a desk somewhere while adding a nice touch of decor.

Beehive Crystal Honey Jar

What beekeeper wouldn’t want a honey jar to remind them of the fruits of their labor, and the stings they gotta take in order to get the good stuff for their morning breakfast?

Beehive Glass Hanging Ornament

One of the best Christmas gifts for beekeepers to hang on their Christmas tree during the holidays! And when the holidays are over…I guess they can find somewhere else to hang it in the meantime.

Beehive Salt and Pepper Shaker Set

Two matching beehives for the fans of salting and peppering their food. They don’t look too fancy, but I like them because you can actually tell the difference between one shaker and the other.

The Beekeeper’s Journal

Beekeeper’s should keep in the habit of writing in a journal to record the day’s efforts and what happened throughout your work with the bees. Not to mention you can write other such things–it’s a journal, after all, there are no specific rules to the inside pages, unless made by you.

Beginning Beekeeping

This is one of the best books for beginner beekeepers out there, with its many illustrations and concise text. Just know you won’t find it as an audiobook, unlike some of the others you can come across.

Kitchen Towel and Potholder Set

Sure there are the same sayings found on posters and such, but I find it more meaningful to give something that’ll be used often as a gift, instead of something to be stared at.

Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of things worthy being stared at, but people also need to not burn themselves when cooking.

Same goes for beekeepers.

Mama Beekeeper T-Shirt

This wouldn’t be a good list of gifts for beekeepers guide if I didn’t throw in a few shirts for those that do the beekeeping, right?

So here’s a Mama Bee’s shirt.

Queen Bee Marking Set

Now I don’t know squat about bees and beekeeping–I’m only here to throw out some worthy products–, but apparently marking the queen bees is good to know which is which. I don’t know how many queen bees there typically are, but here’s five markers, so choose your queen’s colors wisely and let her wear them with pride.

Can’t believe they actually threw a yellow marker in here…they’re already that color.

6 Beeswax Candles

Maybe you like candles while they’re lit and giving you something nice to sniff while you’re indoors, or maybe you like candles that can add a nice touch of decor to your home. Either way, I don’t think a beekeeper should pass up on some nice looking candles. Even if they don’t carry the smell of summer.

Bee Keeper and Baby Carrier Costume

If you’re a beekeeper with a baby, then this costume was meant for the both of you. Be the beekeeper you are, complete with bees attached to your face net, while also carrying your kid in their very own bee carrier costume.

Beehive Trinket Box

If you’ve got several pieces of jewelry or other such trinkets in need of a space to be kept in, how’s this for a gift for a jewelry-keeping beekeeper? I mean, if you don’t want to put trinkets in here, put snacks for yourself. Sneak a treat or two from the confines of the center of this beehive and don’t worry about being stung in the process.

The Beekeeper’s Bible

This book doesn’t joke around when it comes to everything you’d ever like to know on the history of bees as well as the occupation of beekeeping. As an additional plus, it’s also got a cookbook section as well. I’d say that’s worthy of a text-book sized read.

Note that it’s not for beginners, though still a good read to have if you’re planning to be dedicated to beekeeping.

Beekeeper’s Candle Snuffer

It’s quite a lovely candle snuffer, honestly. Honeycomb handle and gold bar, ending in a silver snuffer with a gold bee resting on top of it. A good gift for a beekeeper who’s fond of having stick candles in the house, as most other candles you can just cover with a lid.

Beehive Cake Pans

I love the different styles of cakes that can be made by imaginative minds. But even if you’re not able to sculpt cakes, but love baking, here’s a couple pans that can be combined to make the perfect beehive cake.

You’ve got bees making honey, might as well put that honey in as an ingredient and make them earn their caregiving!

Cascading Bee Mobile

An indoor or outdoor bee mobile that might actually look pretty goof hanging over a crib, or adding a little glinting bit of home decor beside a window, or even just as a centerpiece for the front porch.

Kind of a shame they aren’t chimes.

Honeycomb Beekeeper Necklace

A great gift for female beekeepers who love to wear jewelry just as much as they love wearing bees while they tend to the beehives.

Gifts for Beekeepers $50-$100

Bee Sterling Silver Ring

This little beauty of a ring features a bright gold bee with small white stones covering it. The band is silver, and I gotta say, the color combination is stunning.

Personalized Honeycomb Cutting Board

The perfect gift for a beekeeper who often prepares meals in the kitchen for the family! The design is splendid to look at, with the different coloration of the honeycomb blocks, plus you can personalize it.

Everything’s a better gift when it’s labeled as yours alone.

Save the Bees Honeycomb Capo

If you know a beekeeper that plays the guitar, then they may love a capo that promotes saving bees. The honeycomb look of it is quite eye-catching and unique.

Plus, limited edition.

Wood Honey Bee Lantern

A beautiful lantern, perfect for sitting beside on the outdoor patio or just nightfall in general.  You’ve got your honeycomb pattern and the big ol’ bees that love and protect the stuff.

Gifts for Beekeepers Over $100

18K Beehive Bracelet

You better love the beekeeper you’re gifting this product to, and I don’t mean just love, but you better be devoted to them and worship them like some kind of god or goddess.

This bracelet is gorgeous, and gorgeous things come at a big price.

Barry and the Beehives Cuckoo Clock

Maybe you live in Switzerland…or maybe not. Not sure where I was going with that aside from this cuckoo clock portrays that area more than a simple beekeeper. I like the design of it overall, especially the little beehives on the front. Wish they could light up like little house lights at night.

Beehive Wine Stopper and Stand

After a day of working outside with the bees, why wouldn’t you want to come inside and pour a glass of wine, right? Even better than having a plain old stopper is having some bees stop the wine for you. After all, nobody wants to mess with something when there are bees guarding it.

Unless the person realizes the bees are fake.

Beekeeper Essentials

These are the non-crazy gifts that a beekeeper actually should have for a day-to-day job. I won’t go into detail or thoughts on them.
