I don’t know anyone who wouldn’t know what movie this lamp is from. Especially if it’s sitting in front of a window for all to see when they go by–as long as you live close to the road. If you’ve got a longer driveway like me, well, nobody will see the glory of this fine, shapely, enlightened leg.
Which isn’t all bad. More for you to look at, right?
It’s not my style, honestly. Though I do like it. It looks good! It’s a memory from one of my favorite movies that’s made me laugh with my family.
Not to mention I still use a lot of lines from said movie to this day.
Despite the leg lamp’s shades looking a bit gaudy, and it being of a lady’s leg, I don’t see anything else wrong with it. And I contemplated getting it for my dad as a gag gift, since we get together to watch A Christmas Story every year in the living room during it’s 24 hour runtime.
A perfect lamp for a collector, for sure, or for someone who sees the humor in things.
