Nobody wants to get stuck in the maw of despair. I mean, look at all those unhappy people in there. It’s a mosh pit of regret–like getting together with the in-laws for a week and all the voices in your head raising their hands to tell you what a terrible idea that is.
Not that all in-laws are bad, mind you.
Just most.
The Maw of Despair is a 28mm scale fantasy styled terrain piece that can be used for roleplaying or table-top war games.
Is the Maw of Despair worthy of me?
As far as painting it goes? Hoo-boy, I hope you have a steady hand, a thin brush, and a lot of patience. There’s a lot of turmoil to be had in that pit, and it might cause a lot of turmoil inside your mind too, so make sure you take some breaks when they’re needed.
But I can see some amazing results happening from those who take the time and effort to bring out some eye-popping colors.
That being said, the colored version on the site doesn’t look that great, so I’m actually interested in seeing if anyone else buys it and takes a stab at a different color scheme.
I mean, it’s not that it’s bad, it’s just…not detailed, given the amount of detail put into the actual 3D figure.
Once completed, I’ll bet it’s a piece to be avoided at all cost in a D&D game.
How did we find this product?
I was looking to see if anyone had created anything in regards to the Maw from the game The Medium yet, and the answer is no. But at least I found this…thing.
