Skull Pendant Bone Art – Worthy of the Time it Took to Carve

Skull Pendant Bone Art – Worthy of the Time it Took to Carve

Pendants and necklaces don’t always have to be vibrant and pretty with all the colors of a rainbow–instead, they can also be dark and ominous like this skull pendant bone art. The hollowed out crevices, the eye sockets…they really thought about those details, didn’t they?

“Dead Deer”

3 1/4” tall, 5/8” diameter..

I made this pendant carving in a piece of Whitetail deer antler.

I made this carving using carbide burrs, small knives, sandpaper, polyurethane, and a tad bit of oil paint to accentuate my cuts.

I have signed and dated the back of this carving. A leather necklace will be included with the pendant.

Is the Skull Pendant Bone Art worthy of me?

Handmade products are so cool to look at and try to think about the process to make such things. And to think something as small as this pendant could have this much detail carved into it to make it into such a creepy skull carving is fantastic craftsmanship.

They spend a ton of time hand-carving wooden products, and a lot are quite intriguing, and not at all scary.

But I really do like this piece.
