Slughorn Hourglass – Worthy of a Time Consuming Conversation

Slughorn Hourglass – Worthy of a Time Consuming Conversation

If you qualify for the House of Slytherin, then there’s no need to not have the former Potions Master’s time piece–the Slughorn Hourglass. Set it beside you when you have to talk with someone. How fast the sand falls will tell the other if they’re terribly boring or not.

A striking prop replica of Professor Slughorn’s famous hourglass. It measures 10 inches in height and is crafted in fine pewter, die-cast metal, translucent ABS, and enamel. The bright green sand makes this stunning piece especially eye catching. Calibrated to measure approximately one hour.

Is the Slughorn Hourglass worthy of me?

Slughorn might not have done the best thing in his teaching career at Hogwarts, but he’s certainly not the bad guy. Personally, I like the idea behind the hourglass itself. An engaging conversation causes the sand to slow down, otherwise, it’ll fall at a typically faster rate.

If you’re a Harry Potter fan and also have a profession that involves speaking with people, it might be a nice investment.

Though I wouldn’t set it in front of a client if you’re a psychiatrist and charge for however long it takes for the sand to disappear from the top section. You might never really get paid all that much…though it would be interesting to see how many conversations do become engaging at a certain point.

And if your client knows exactly what it is…well, they probably won’t be too pleased.

But still, it’s an intricate design for an hourglass and it’s a wonderful Harry Potter collector’s item.

How did we find this product?

After searching for sand products, I decided to look for products that actually hold sand–ie hourglasses.
