Dementor Action Figure – Worth Its 1:6 Soul-Sucking Height

Dementor Action Figure – Worth Its 1:6 Soul-Sucking Height

Nothing says I love collecting creepy shit like this Dementor Action Figure.

Personally, I think all a Dementor wants is a kiss from their one true love. They just don’t know who they love and it makes them angry so they suck the soul out of everyone instead.

Seems legit.

From Star Ace Toys.

The most terrifying creatures Harry Potter ever encountered were the Dementors, the spectral beings used as guards at the Wizard prison, Azkaban. Just being in the presence of a demented removes all life and joy from their victims, and their most terrifying attack was the dementor’s kiss, which sucks the soul from a Wizard, leaving them just a mindless husk.

This 1/6th scale Dementor collectible figure features an all-new realistic skeletal likeness with articulated fingers, a weathered black shroud costume and a special attachment to simulate the dementor’s kiss. Also included is a stand for displaying the figure in flying poses.

The deluxe version of the 1/6th scale Dementor also has illuminated eyes (batteries included), an additional vortex dementor’s kiss attachment and a sculpted diorama base.

Is the Dementor Action Figure worthy of me?

Dementors are just one of the evil creepy creatures littering the world of Harry Potter (as opposed to the much nicer creepy creatures known as Thestrals).

And if I’ll say anything good in this post about them, it’s this: Star Ace Toys did a damn good job at creating this figurine so lifelike and, well, creepy. I especially like that the deluxe version has illuminated eyes just to make them even more eerie when their cloak is full covering their old, wrinkly heads.

Not too sure on the Dementor’s kiss attachment though.

Kind of looks like a weird tongue instead of soul-sucking, to be honest. Or it’s shooting a web out of its mouth in a weird interpretation of Spiderman.

I hope the robe has some kind of free movement to it. Not like I want to take it off and see what’s under there mind you–I’m pretty sure there’s a whole lot of air and less body. At least I hope so. But it’d be interesting if wind could tease the robe a little, like from a fan.

If it didn’t creep me out so much, I’d definitely be all in if I was a collector of figurines. But I get the heebie jeebies just from looking at the picture.

Also, how many times have I described this Dementor Action Figure as creepy so far?
