As far as Harry Potter mugs go, I think this one might be the most iconic, with it being one of the first magical objects in Harry Potter that you get to meet. It’s kind of disappointing that it doesn’t yell out a random Hogwart’s house name when you lift the cap off.
Then again, maybe putting a voicebox in something that holds liquids isn’t very wise.
Though perhaps the sorting hat wasn’t the wisest, because it seemed like it wanted to put Potter into Slytherin. Something that Harry still questions apparently.
I personally love the look of this mug, especially with all the creases going on throughout it. Not only does it look like a hat with the folds, but you can also clearly see the face, all the while retaining a container inside that’ll hold 450ml of liquids.
It kind of reminds me of a cookie jar, honestly, though definitely not large enough on the inside.
Maybe it’s the hat.
