13 Stocking Stuffers for Girls With ADHD Worthy of Maintaining Focus

0

If you know a lovely little lady who suffers from attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and don’t know what to put in her Christmas stocking, then worry no more, because we’re here to help you pick out some stocking stuffers for girls with ADHD.

Most people think boys are the main ones with ADHD, but that’s far beyond the realm of realism.

Don’t get me wrong. I actually had to look it up myself, because honestly, boys show it a lot more fiercely than girls typically do–especially with the emphasis on the hyperactivity. There’s absolutely no mistaking the fact that my nephew has ADHD. He can’t concentrate on anything for any given amount of time, anything you say will go through one ear and out the other and he’s already forgotten what you said or never cared to begin with, he screams and runs around and would do triple backflips throughout the living room if he knew how to.

Being an introvert and just existing in the same room as him is mentally draining on me.

But females tend to be more on the inattentive side of the spectrum rather than take on the aspect of the Tasmanian Devil himself.

So it’s time to help her out without being too terribly obvious by gifting her some stocking stuffers! I mean, they might cater more to her ADHD side to dilute and tame those symptoms, but they’re still going to be toys, and every kid loves toys.

Fidget spinners

Headphones

Liquid motions

Night lights

Squeeze toys

Stretchy toys

Bike Chain Fidget Spinner

Stocking Stuffers for Girls With ADHD

  • Endless looping rotation play
  • Silent
  • Fits in your pocket

You start to learn there’s a variety of fidget spinners when you actually go through pages of them–I honestly only ever thought there was one type and that was the typical X look, just modeled differently.

This bike chain fidget spinner is small and can be played with and rotated around single-handed or with two hands and is perfectly fine with using in classrooms for your kid to stay focused. Just remind them to reach to the bottom of the stocking, in case it fell all the way down there and they don’t reach far enough.

Then again, they might be the type to turn the stocking upside down and have the leftovers tumble out. What do I know?

Cotton Candy Slime

Stocking Stuffers for Girls With ADHD

  • Has a cutie in every candie pop
  • Stretches over 3000% in size

  • Might get a bit messy
  • Some might be tempted to eat

If it smells like cotton candy and looks like slime…don’t eat it.

Words to live by.

But you can definitely play with it all you want and mold it into any shape you like, which is the entire purpose of the slime itself. Your kid will maintain their focus on the slime and lose their current anxiety as they stretch it as much as they can and shape it into whatever their imagination sees fit. Which might just be random droopy shapes because slime doesn’t exactly hold its shape very well.

They might even have fun wrapping their sibling up in the cotton candy slime as if it were Saran Wrap!

You can see why it might be one of the better stocking stuffers for girls with ADHD at this point, but there are also cutie collectibles in every product package, so at some point you might be forced to buy more.

CozyPhones Headphones

Stocking Stuffers for Girls With ADHD

  • Good for constant traveling
  • Replacement for uncomfortable headphones

These headphones are more like headbands, which are perfect for kids who go traveling with the family a lot. They don’t have to worry about uncomfortable headphones–and trust me, when someone is touch-sensitive, any headphone no matter how comfortable can become uncomfortable–but not only that, if they get tired, they can pull the headband down for a darker atmosphere and try to better be able to sleep.

Passing headlights from cars or street lamplights can be bothersome if your kid’s a light sleeper.

One of the better stocking stuffer headphones for car rides, airplanes, buses, and even trains. Though the latter might be a bit on the louder side of the sound spectrum.

Decompression Ring

Stocking Stuffers for Girls With ADHD

  • Not as girly as the other items on the list
  • A ring with six sides

  • Button clicking can be loud and intrusive

This is a ring that your kid can have on their finger, but it’s not good for taking it to a classroom or any area with people that demands a kind of quiet atmosphere. This ring is quite loud with all of its clicks, despite people having said they’re satisfying to listen to.

With six sides and around thirteen different clicks or touch areas available, it should keep the mind focused for some time.

I’d say it’s more of an all-around stocking stuffer for ADHD people rather than gender-specific, but it does have a soft purple one and I thought that fit the post.

What can I say? Girls and lilac colors fit well together, I think.

Fiber Optic Night Light Lamp

Stocking Stuffers for Girls With ADHD

  • Comes as two separate parts
  • Good for trouble sleeping
  • Changes colors

As someone who’s kind of on the ADD spectrum, when my mind is buzzing with thoughts and won’t quiet down, sleep is a difficult thing to come by, and I can’t imagine it’s any easier for someone with ADHD, considering that’s a step above me. If your kid needs a night light of any kind, this is perfect, as it almost gives off a water fountain vibe while shifting from one color to another.

This is fitting for a stocking stuffer for girls with ADHD because of the beauty of the colors and the fact that they shift from one color to the next.

Just watching it should have a relaxing effect that should put them to sleep sooner rather than later.

It comes in two parts so you can place the both of them in the stocking for a better fit.

Glitzy Flower Fidget Spinner

Stocking Stuffers for Girls With ADHD

  • Pretty fidget spinner
  • Can be used on a desk

  • Might be seen as a potential weapon

Kind of looks like a lovely yet hazardous shuriken, so you better make sure your child isn’t a compulsive thrower before contemplating putting this toy in their Christmas stocking. Especially if they’re old enough to be watching any Naruto episodes.

Aside from that though, it’s a unique rainbow color with glitzy white and red bling. Maybe not real diamonds, but if you’ve got a girly girl who has shiny object syndrome, then she’ll no doubt enjoy this fidget spinner.

Harry Potter Rainbow Snitch Spinner

Stocking Stuffers for Girls With ADHD

  • Perfect for Harry Potter fans
  • Unique fidget spinner
  • Can be used on a desk

  • Might attract other people’s attentions

If your kid is a fan of Harry Potter and rainbow colors, then there’s no reason this fidget spinner won’t offer a distraction from their own ADHD. It’ll provide them with something to focus on and even something to converse on since it centers itself on an entire franchise.

Just don’t expect it to fly around. Which isn’t a bad thing, in the long run.

Liquid Motion Bubbler Timer

Stocking Stuffers for Girls With ADHD

  • Mesmerizing to hold in your hands and watch
  • Can keep on your desk

  • Only lasts one minute
  • Have to constantly flip over

This is a one-minute timer that comes in both pink and blue colorations. It’d actually be interesting to use in the kitchen if you’re having your kid help you out with making something and it’s only going to take a short amount of time–in which case they can use this timer.

And they can actually focus on it and watch the liquid traverse its downward path.

It’s basically the equivalent of a lava lamp, but I’d say maybe it’s a bit cooler, and has a quirky timer concept to it, if a rather short one.

Mobius Pink Fidget Ball

Stocking Stuffers for Girls With ADHD

  • Endless looping rotation play
  • Silent
  • Fits in your pocket

  • Might present itself as a choking hazard

Talk about a throwback to all the days where I got all the wires crossed in my computer room and had to unravel them. What nightmares those days were.

Who would’ve known now days kids can have something like this dropped in their stockings on Christmas to prepare themselves for that kind of mishap. Not that I know if you can actually untangle this mess, but your kid can certainly try, can’t she? It’ll keep her occupied for some time, for sure, and she can carry it around with her wherever.

Pink Infinity Fidget Cube

Stocking Stuffers for Girls With ADHD

  • Can take anywhere and keep in a pocket
  • Can fidget with one hand

  • Noisy, but not too loud

A one-handed fidgeting cube that your kid can use throughout any point in the day, whether it’s at school or any other social group function to allow them to focus better on conversations or homework or whatever else kids are supposed to be paying attention to these days. It sort of reminds me of the cube in the Portal games, but I’d say it has a bit more uses.

Popping Bubble Sensory Toy

Stocking Stuffers for Girls With ADHD

  • Not loud like bubble wrap
  • Can push the bubbles in and out
  • Take anywhere with you in a backpack

  • Bit large for a classroom setting

Ever go through one of those phases with bubble wrap where you just had to mindlessly pop every single bubble there was? I know I did. And it was until I started to hear other people pop bubble wrap that I realized it’s annoyingly loud and obnoxious and there’s really no point to it.

Except there is.

It’s kind of a stress reliever. Which is what this toy is, and the best part of this toy is that it’s not bubble wrap–meaning it’s not loud. Your kid can carry it around with them and constantly pop the bubbles in and out to calm their anxiety and allow their mind to focus. It’ll keep their hands busy, so if they fidget a lot, they wont be fidgeting with themselves in a negative manner.

Squishy Animal Pencil Topper

Stocking Stuffers for Girls With ADHD

  • Variety of animals to choose from
  • Can top a pencil or pen, or sit on a desk
  • Take anywhere to squish

  • Some might be tempted to chew

While there are pencil toppers your kid can gnaw on, I don’t recommend them chew on these. Rather, they can pinch and squish them with their hands instead in order to silently keep their hands busy while maintaining focus on the task at hand. Despite these adorable animals being used as pencil toppers, they can also simply be desk decorations, or used on pens, of course, depending on your kid’s preference.

My personal favorites are the narwhal and alpaca.

Unicorn Stretchy String

Stocking Stuffers for Girls With ADHD

  • Good for sensory stress relief
  • Can be used anywhere
  • Stretches up to 40 inches

You can’t go wrong with dropping a unicorn in a stocking–as long as it doesn’t go poking holes. Luckily, these shouldn’t.

Instead, they should help kids that have the habit of fidgeting and picking at their skin or biting their nails. Instead of doing those things, they can wrap these stretchy strings around their fingers and stroke the spiky texture for sensory stimulation.

I, myself, tend to have a bad habit of biting my nails, but also enjoy the feel of something sliding against my palms, so I’m definitely a sensory type of person.

In conclusion…

I can’t say there are a lot of stocking stuffers for girls with ADHD to choose from, because it’s a really specific niche, and the fact that this post is focused on a gender narrows it down even further. I’m sure you might be able to find a few more things if you’re more familiar with your own kid and if you’ve dealt with the symptoms of ADHD more than I have.

I can say that some of these products might cross over into the boy ADHD section as well–it’s just a matter of changing the color, I suppose, or even if the boy likes specific animals.

I mean, girls can’t be the only ones that like unicorns, and those squishy animal pens have multiple animal types.

So this post isn’t technically centered completely around stocking stuffers for girls with ADHD, as it could also be for boys. Or even people with stress and anxiety. Call it a thinly veiled variety post masquerading as something else.
