The Hand – Worthy of Reaching For A Screen Near You

The Hand – Worthy of Reaching For A Screen Near You

There’s nothing worse than losing your hand…until you realize it’s coming back for you, which is exactly what happens in The Hand. One might think maybe it’s just giving him a hand since he’s already lost it to begin with, but after watching the film. you’ll probably think otherwise.

At least, I think he thinks otherwise.

A successful cartoonist loses his hand in a car wreck, and the hand eventually comes back on a murderous rampage.

Is The Hand worthy of me?

This is an oldie but goodie for me. I remember cringing during this movie because it was gross and gorey and…I was young, okay? And I hate horror movies. I still do. I guarantee you if I watched this now, despite the eye-roll scenes that are probably in it, I’d still probably cringe and have to look away during some parts.

If I’m not mistaken, I think there’s a scene where the guy puts the hand in the microwaves and makes it explode?

Yeah, one of my favorite scenes–not.

Pretty sure I watched the movie with my dad. Pretty sure I’ve watched a lot of the older horror movies with my dad, including one with semi trucks that drove themselves (Maximum Overdrive).

In fact, for years, whenever I was alone with my dad he’d trap me somehow, list up his hand and act like he’d lost control of it and say something about it being “the claw.” Then of course there would be a tickle attack where I’d practically pee on him.

He deserved it.

How did we find this product?

Since it’s nearing Halloween and time for spooky things–not to mention, October spookiness is our current theme on our Patreon page–how could I pass mentioning this long-time favorite, creepy movie of mine?
