Worm Light – Worthy of Giving a Light Where None Exists

Worm Light – Worthy of Giving a Light Where None Exists

If you’ve been playing a Gameboy or Gameboy Color all this time without a Worm Light or other LED light, then props to you. You’re the real MVP. Or…a sucker that never knew something like this existed?

I mean, I’m surprised I even found out about it.

Is the Worm Light worthy of me?

Back when my mom hated me having the light on at night (which she still does), when everyone was trying to sleep, I’d be trying to get in some more handheld game time on my Gameboy Color.

Of course, this proved difficult, because even if I could get away with having an overhead light at home, there were still issues elsewhere.

Like if I wanted to play my GBC in an area that had poor lighting.

It really sucked.

But then I realized they had something like the Worm Light out there to hook onto the GBC to help a kid’s frustrations. So I bought it! And it freaking worked miracles in the dark. It was just weird to see when out in public, I guess, but it was still a victory for me.

I still have it. It still works fine. But since I don’t play my GBC all that much anymore, it’s been kind of lonesome…

The Worm Light looks a bit weird with its corkscrew twists and turns of the body. And as mentioned above, it can be weird to be seen using it among friends or out in public. So if you want something a little less…noticeable, you might want to check out other LED lights for GBC below.

  • Amazon – I never used the Action Light, but my boyfriend did and he loved the thing. It not only brightens the screen, but also magnifies it so you can see it better.
  • Amazon – The Blob Light is actually pretty freaking cool to look at, if not a little creepy. Maybe more for the boys than the girls, but to each their own.
