10 Pikachu Products Worth Their 13lbs of Weight in Gold

10 Pikachu Products Worth Their 13lbs of Weight in Gold

Everyone loves Pikachu. It’s the iconic figure for Pokémon. And we all know that Pikachu has a gold coloration.

But that doesn’t mean the little electrical mouse is made of pure gold.

If that were the case, nobody would even bother with the other Pokémon. They’d just be there in order to defeat all the impossibly overpowered Ash Ketchum wannabe-Pikachu’s out there. And then discarded because they aren’t worth their weight in whatever makes them what they are.

Which isn’t gold.

Gold Pikachu Gifts

Gold Pikachu Protector Case for Nintendo 3DS XL

Everyone needs a protector case for their 3DS, and while Pikachu isn’t exactly the protector type of Pokémon you might want guarding your precious gaming device, it’s still a nice golden design that’s otherwise transparent.

Therefore, no matter what color your Nintendo 3DS XL is, the gold design should create an otherwise electrical pop that won’t fry your system.

Pokemon 25th Anniversary Collection Golden Box

Now, I can’t say for sure that everything inside the collector’s box is as golden and glorious as the outside packaging, but it looks like a lot of the inner workings of the packages are also gold and you can get some gold foil cards (?) in the mix.

If you’re a long-term fan of the trading card game and enjoy, you know, collecting things for it that not many people might have, this may be just the thing to scratch that never-ending itch.

Gloating rights, right?

Nintendo Switch Golden Pikachu Wireless Controller

I’ll admit this controller looks a bit too loud and crowded with all the golden Pikachu outlines splashed onto the black color, so it really takes you a moment to recognize all of their playful outlines.

At least, it did for me.

I don’t know if it’s my ADD or not, but for a moment it just looked like random spatters of gold. Like how a psychiatrist would hold up a pattern and ask you what you think it looks like.

PIKA PIKA Gold SnapBack Hat

Who needs an actual design of Pikachu for people to understand what this hat references. You’ve got the iconic “pika pika” speech embroidered right on the hat, in bold letters, in gold.

But also, the bill does have Pikachu littered all over it.

You know what, from afar, ain’t nobody going to notice that design. So “pika pika” speaks for itself. Literally.

Pikachu Necklace

Honestly, it looks like he’s trying to run away from whoever it is that’s looking at him. Which is a thing most Pokémon will do when confronted with a stranger, so in that sense, while the design is simplistic in nature, I really like the concept.

I don’t know if that’s what they were going for, but it works either way.

Custom Ancient Pikachu Trading Card

You all know that Unown Pokémon that keeps to its name of being unknown, though each features a specific part of the alphabet, it seems. Well, this Pikachu is a bit of an unknown as well as it dates back to whatever language the Unown technically use.

You can use it as a trading card, but I’m not sure how much use you’ll get out of it.

Except to confuse your opponent.

Pikachu Pure Gold Pokemon Figure

The bond between Ash and his Pikachu is pure gold–but not like this pure gold Pikachu. This thing has a price tag greater than any kind of “friendship” between man and Pokémon, trust me.

You’ll almost want to be able to return it to a pokeball just to claim it as yours and yours alone.

A gold pokeball, of course. If you can find one.

Adorable Winking Pikachu Necklace

We’ve already mentioned a more simplistic looking necklace of our electrical mouse, but this one’s for those who need something a little more obnoxiously adorable without being too obnoxious about it. I mean, a wink wouldn’t make a Pokémon who isn’t already too obnoxious too obnoxious, right?

Anyway, this is Pikachu’s face capture in a small oval of a necklace, and it’s winking at us with a little star above its head. Silver balls decorate the border of the necklace to make it not be so yellow in its coloration.

But it’s still pretty flippin’ yellow.

Pokémon GO Handmade Gold Coin

If you’re a fan of Pokémon GO, but don’t really go for the whole online buying of specific Pokémon for your personal collection, here’s a handmade gold coin featuring Pikachu just kind of looking off into the distance.

Sure, it’s a bit simple, but it’s a coin you can keep to show you play the game.

Pikachu Ring

We’ve mentioned a couple necklaces, but I wanted to keep the ring pretty simple. I mean, nobody is going to want to casually wear a Pokémon ring that looks like it’s wedding ring material unless it’s meant to be wedding ring material, yeah?

So here’s just…basically a Pikachu’s adorably cute face as a ring.
